Agent PD U2/SED 008: Travelling around Flandern

Brussels is the heart of Europe, they say...Well, it also strategically central for a few escapades in the local backyards... I've visited a friend, Mano ( we did the Waste=Life project together in Aarhus a few years ago ) and his family in Antwerpen, where I recommend the museum aan de stroom, especially their section on the history of power... ( link previously uploaded on my profile )
Did you know that Antwerpen has an authorized association of cannabis cultivators and smokers, and the police has regular access to the plantation, just to make sure that don't comercialize the production, only for private use???

More recently i went to Oostende, the windy and mundane Belgian seaside... where i recommend the museum of modern art   http://www.pmmk.be/en/ (see picture above) and some fresh fish as well!!!

I also spent some great time in the Wazemmes neighbourhood of Lille in northern France, with its cafés, restaurants, outdoor markets and pervasive immigrant culture, staying at a friend Jean Philippe (we used to study cultural management i Paris more than a decade ago), whose very philosofical and poetical interieur constituted the ideal  'curtain' for unending discussions about the meaning of life...
